Instructions For Popular FTP Applications

Standard Browsers (Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator)

  1. From the main browser window type in your FTP address: ftp://username:password@ftp.srm-ftp.com where <username> and <password> information has been provided to each vendor. Hit <ENTER> to proceed.
  2. A listing of all files in the vendor's directory will be shown. Simply click on a file name to download.
  3. To upload a file, select File from the main menubar followed by Upload File. Browse your local system and select file(s) to upload to your FTP directory.
    Note: File uploading is supported in Netscape Navigator only!!
 

For CuteFTP

  1. Click on the Quick Connect icon (as shown below). Alternately, select FTP then Quick Connect from the main menubar.
  2. From the Quick Connect dialog box, type in www.srm-ftp.com as the Host Address.
  3. In the User ID and Password textboxes, type in <username> and <password> provided in a separate document.
  4. Make sure the Login Type is Normal.
  5. Click OK to connect to the Sensormatic FTP site.

 

 

For WS-FTP
  1. Click on the Connect button (as shown below).
  2. From the Connection dialog box, type in www.srm-ftp.com as the Host Name.
  3. In the UserID and Password textboxes, type in <username> and <password> provided in a separate document.
  4. Make sure the Anonymous option is NOT checked.
  5. Click Connect to access the Sensormatic FTP site.
